BARRY COPPEDGE
Barry lives with his wife, Ashley, of 24 years, and their daughter in Wilmington, NC. He enjoys duck hunting, fishing, and traveling. He values continuous learning through industry events, podcasts, and reading. Barry holds dual bachelor’s degrees in accounting and operations management from UNCW and has over twenty-five years of experience in construction and development.
Throughout his career, he has managed over $500 million in commercial real estate development projects, focusing on land development and the ground-up construction of apartments, condos, flex-space warehouses, single-family homes, and townhouses. He has overseen the design and construction of over 2,500 apartment units in North and South Carolina.
Barry co-founded The Leeward Group to leverage his extensive experience in leading the construction and development of new opportunities for his associates, clients, and investors, with a commitment to delivering efficient and quality projects.
RODNEY Williams
As a native born and raised in Wilmington, Rodney has deep roots in his community. He and his wife, with whom he has shared over thirty years of marriage, enjoy life together in Wilmington. The couple takes great joy in their daughter and values their time as a family. Outside of work, Rodney enjoys church activities, hunting, offshore fishing, and enjoying the great outdoors.
With over thirty-five years of expertise in construction and development, Rodney has made a significant impact in the industry. His impressive portfolio includes managing and building hundreds of millions of dollars in commercial and residential real estate development projects. His experience spans a wide range of projects, including land development, ground-up construction of apartments, condominiums, educational and institutional facilities, flex space warehouses, retail strip centers and townhomes.
Rodney’s professional credentials are extensive, holding multiple licenses in North Carolina, including an Unlimited General Contractor’s License, Unlimited Plumbing License, Unlimited Public Utilities License, Petroleum Distribution Contractor License and North Carolina Real Estate Brokers License. His breadth of knowledge and hands-on experience make him a valuable asset of any development team.
